boy oh boy
sunday evening, i looked out my window to see a huge billow of black smoke. the smoke was too dark and too dense to have come from one of the other existing fires. i go outside and look to the right of culver and see an orange glow. then i noticed the big ass flames! stupid moronic idiot arsonist. the smoke was horrible and ashes were flying everywhere. i didn't think we'd really have to evacuate given that we were at least 5 major streets away from where evacuations were going on and we live in a new development so roof fires from floating embers were unlikely but of course, i overanalyzed. it's funny, but not, that i thought i could go home to topanga in the event of evacuations but then i realized that topanga was on standby for evacuation, too because of the malibu fire. what a night. i can't believe how many fires are going on. i feel horrible for people that have lost their homes. :(
