don't be a doormat
definition of wuss:n: 1. a person who is physically weak and ineffectual; 2. a person regarded as weak or timid and especially as unmanly
~if you have an opinion that you believe strongly in, stand by it.
~if you have a problem in a team that is bothering you to the point of frustration, tell the team. do not tell one member of the team and most importantly, don't ask that team member to keep it a secret. what's the point?
~if you feel that your voice is not being heard opt for a different approach so that you are. raising your voice is ineffectual.
~if you want to learn how to be an effective manager timidity, a lack of confidence, inability to persuade, and a lack of conviction will not help you.
~do not be a doormat where everyone can step on you and rub their feet all over you and expect others to automatically know when there is a problem.
~do not argue for one thing and step back the second there is a bit of conflict.
~some people are not meant to write. live with it.
how'd i do, joe? i tried to write this post the way we talked about but it didn't quite work out, did it?

i do notice that there's an element of "read my mind" to doormats. they seem to think that people should cater to them somehow and that they don't actually have to assert themselves.
ha ha ha..good post...got out some of your frustrations and if any 'doormats' read it, then they might get the hint and change.
