weekend extravaganza
vegas baby! i don't think i've been so inclined to say that nor have i had such fun or stayed up so late in vegas (aside from my 21st birthday). cicely's 1/4 century mark birthday celebration was pretty darn tootin' sweet! there were funny new people that i met too... joe and tommy (kinda already knew), belle, lou, ryan, joesan, and johnjohn. plus, i got to see jay and chris in gambling action.notable moments in my mind...
1. lunch in bertolini's (i think that's the name of it)... johnjohn's infectious laugh. it reminds me of tracey. if i were in the room with the two of them laughing i'd for sure pee in my pants.
2. saturday...walking in the evening toward bellagio with joe saying bellagio with his weird italian accent which i found incredibly amusing. to get him to say something else with that accent i asked him, "hey, what's the name of that restaurant we walked by yesterday?" and he said, "spago? that wasn't yesterday, it was 3 hours ago."
3. "going to" body english. this guy allen told us he had the hookups to body english as long as we tip the bouncer. guys paid $30 each to allen. we got to walk by everyone else waiting in line thinking... "ha! suckers!!" we would have had to wait in line to get in line. so we waited only to be told that the cover is $30 for guys and $20 for girls (in addition to the tip to the bouncer). apparently allen couldn't get us in for free, for free (when you read that think of when you say, I'm going home, home). after an hour the girls get to go in and allen says the guys will get in for free too. we waited at the bottom of the stairs and a while later we see allen walk in and his gf goes to talk to him. cicely, belle, and i didn't know what was going on so we had to go ask only to listen to a conversation between girls that the guys upstairs demanded their money back after allen did them a favor and if they didn't just want to pay the $30 cover to get in then they are cheapasses. please. guys might think that cicely, belle, and i were being catty when we talked about how wrong those girls were but that's not catty... that's just honesty. at the time the situation really sucked but now it's kind of funny.
4. Ms. Corina. that's sufficient enough that i don't have to mention more. notable for the fact that it was incredibly weird but thanks to jay who allowed me to experience such weirdness.
5. chris... since i've known him, never seen him on the phone so much.
6. us leaving the hotel and jay saying the car is in the parking lot. but we walk thru the parking lot and toward the end of short term parking. chris asks jay, "hey, didn't you say the parking lot" and jay said no. so chris asks everyone, "hey, didn't jay say the parking lot?" and everyone says yes while jay is still saying that he didn't say that. where is the car? on the street. street... parking lot... parking lot... street... hmm... not hearin the similarity.
7. sunday... primm... walking into coach, falling in love with a purse, and NOT buying it. absolutely amazing.

you know you loved Karina....she was awesome. And it's "esPAgo" (that's the italian accent in effect)...ha ha ha...3 hours ago, not yesterday.
