movie!

Charlie & the Chocolate Factory with Johnny Depp was awesome!!! i loved it. it was quirky and off-beat but incredible. johnny depp is a fantastic actor!

gross!

gross is a 50+ year old man hitting on you while you're attempting to do laps in the pool at the gym. gross gross gross. guy invited me to do the 2.4 mile swim in hawaii in august. i had no qualms about lying to him and telling him that i have a boyfriend. gross!

i'd want a cool chin.

i'd make a line of cosmetics that completely rids you of cellulite and stretch marks, even the nasty purple-y stretch marks that some people have. i'd name it "phataway."

seamless bikini brief. they really would be seamless so that you couldn't even tell that you had underwear on, and they'd have really cute designs.

16. If you could have one super power, what would it be?
to see through anything. (no dirty thoughts please)

17. If you had the choice would you rather be Marilyn Monroe for a day, or Madonna?
Marilyn Monroe was a druggie and Madonna is fake. if i had to choose, i guess i'd choose madonna, at least she isn't depressed as much as Monroe supposedly was.

mvp

i was arguing with ray on IM today about who should be mvp which all stemmed from the fact that he doesn't think ichiro is worth watching since ichiro isn't on a winning team. he said that the mvp should be on a winning team and that the mvp should lead the team. in my opinion, the mvp should be the player that had the most impact on that team. e.g. a-rod when he was playing for TX, he was up for mvp but his team sucked. and where in the world in "most valuable player" does it say "team"?

this isn't like basketball or hockey where one person can consistently has control of the ball/puck and can actually lead their team. seriously, they have 5 people for each team on the court at a time so of course it's easier for an individual to have an impact on the entire team. baseball has a whole lineup that is playing "separately" from the rest of their team when at bat. baseball is too much of a team sport to say that one person's performance will carry or lead the team.

try listening!

i know i've been guilty of not remembering things people have told me but seriously, i know someone that does this ALL the time. it's not even as if i've told this person something 3 months ago, more like 2 days ago! jeeeez. try listening 'cause it's getting annoying.

the AL won the all-star game!! tooooooo bad NL. ichiro helped out with a two-run hit 'cause he's awesome like that. he has great respect from so many different players and i think it's well deserved. i think i'm gonna try to go to the all-star game next year but only if ichiro goes again.

um...

my name is dana and i'm a blogaholic. i have become dependent upon reading my friends' blogs while on breaks at work. i fully realized my dependence on july 11, 2005 at 3:20 p.m. while eating the lunch i brought back to my office. before, i believed i simply perused these blogs for fun, to catch up on the quirkiness of friends' lives, and perhaps to elicit a free laugh. i sat ready in my chair, with my togo's pastrami sandwich in hand, about to munch away while i read. as I clicked on the blog names saved in my "favorites" list, fully anticipating the antics of friends, i realized, with a sinking feeling, that alas, there were only 2 new blog entries. thank God for joe and cicely for without them, my togo's sandwich would still be in my hand while i searched with quiet desperation for something interesting to read. what a sad moment.

mariners!

well, the mariners may be in last place, currently 12.5 games back, going into the all-star break buuuuuut... they had an awesome series... sweeping the angels in 4 games. yesterday was no exception, and i'm happy to say that i was able to share that experience with gb, parker, mike a., mike d., mandy, brody, tyson, erick, danielle, lucas, jayden, kay, kay's brother, kay's niece, joe, ryan, johnjohn, ivy, phil, fran, jimmy, john, lisa, rick, and robert. awesome!!! phil and i were the only mariners fans but that's alright. i think most enjoyed the game.

vegas!!

vegas was fun! left out of LB on saturday with robert. met up with deejay, christine, & jordan at the airport... then went to meet the rest of the 15 people at fran's house. things that happened...

~deejay, christine, jordan, robert, and i waiting for 30 minutes at dollar rental car (while it was freaking hot!!) for an economy car b4 the guy said to just take a van.

~waiting in line for Pure for 1.5 hours b4 we called it quits and went to Green Valley

~deejay spooning fran in the van and fran doing a forward dive over robert in the van to get away from deejay's "happiness"

~going to sleep at 6:30 am on sunday morning and waking up at 11am

~getting in the car where the inside temperature was 125 degrees

~being killed in mafia because of the narrator, not the mafia

~going to sleep at 7 am on monday morning and waking up at 11am

~watching an awesome fireworks show at fran's homeowner's association

~trying to watch a movie at New Orleans theatre only to be told that they stop selling tickets at 10:45. We got there at 10:46.

~going to sleep at 3 am on tuesday morning and waking up at 2 PM. wooohoooo!!!

~never stepping foot into a buffet place for the first time ever in vegas!

~almost missing my flight because fran was a big lagger
