poor clipper
**linden brought clipper back to the animal rescue center this morning (halloween). he needs a home where he's the only cat. he beats up on tonka. we can't have that happen especially since linden is gone most of the day and tonka is too big now to hide in his usual crevice.**sadly, we may have to give clipper back to the animal rescue center. he's not acclimating and he's terrorizing tonka.
me sad.
boy oh boy
sunday evening, i looked out my window to see a huge billow of black smoke. the smoke was too dark and too dense to have come from one of the other existing fires. i go outside and look to the right of culver and see an orange glow. then i noticed the big ass flames! stupid moronic idiot arsonist. the smoke was horrible and ashes were flying everywhere. i didn't think we'd really have to evacuate given that we were at least 5 major streets away from where evacuations were going on and we live in a new development so roof fires from floating embers were unlikely but of course, i overanalyzed. it's funny, but not, that i thought i could go home to topanga in the event of evacuations but then i realized that topanga was on standby for evacuation, too because of the malibu fire. what a night. i can't believe how many fires are going on. i feel horrible for people that have lost their homes. :(
kitties
we got kitties!!!!! the only sucky thing is that i don't get to see them that often because they're in cleveland.
we got an eight week old kitten that is orange and white. we named him tonka.
then we got a 2 year old cat. we named him clipper because part of his ear was accidentally clipped off when he was caught. he's really cute but he's scared of everything right now. he hides all the time. when we first brought him home we thought we lost him because we couldn't find him. linden finally found him in the little compartment space behind the refrigerator. we thought we lost him again but it turns out, he was hiding in an area where linden kept a bunch of empty boxes. the only thing was that he tried to hide like this...
half his body was sticking out of the box, as you can see. it was funny because when linden took the box off, he was still frozen in the same position like if he stayed in the same position, we wouldn't see him. poor little clipper. i hope he gets used to linden and the apartment soon. cute little guy. you can't tell from this but he is cute.
SIGH
why is it that making "adult" decisions is part of being an adult? there are moments where i'd much rather have my parents make the decision for me. even if i didn't like the decision, at least i could say the outcome wasn't my fault. instead, i'm stuck with advice from my parents that is making me a bit miserable because deep down, i know they're right. i just don't want them to be right.
