weekend!

i got lunch from panera today (yummy!). the only thing was that i got my order "to go" and when the girl asked my name, i gave it to her. only, she didn't hear so she asked again. i told her and she said, "daniel?" and i said, no, repeated myself, and she said, "danny?" i said fine. i rolled my eyes and gave a look. ok, so that was rude on my part and i got called out on it. i totally didn't mean to. it just kind of happened. oops. :(

thank God it's thursday!no more work 'til monday and then it's gonna be crazy. i took tuesday off because i'm going to a wedding in riverside. wednesday is a holiday. then i'm working thursday through thursday, including the weekend. bummer bummer bummer!!! gotta do what ya gotta do. but then the next week i get to go to MD. :)

countdown

it's monday! that means wednesday night is almost here!!! i'm too sleepy to try and figure out the hours. all i know is that it's not soon enough. i'm looking forward to 9:10 pm wednesday.

weekend was great! i picked up my parents from lax... their flight was "early" and yet they took foreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeever to come out of the terminal. i kind of got freaked out at one point because this Chinese dude came out asking everyone if they were waiting for two specific passengers and was showing passports. they were u.s. passports so i almost freaked until i saw asian people in the pictures. whew! anyway, my parents just took a long time in customs because lax didn't have many people working and there were 3 international flights that landed around the same time.

saturday, i FINALLY got to hangout with pia. yay! sunday, i went on a hike in laguna and overall had a lazy day. it was a weekend for Godparents! i hungout with my G-mom on saturday night and my G-dad and his fiance on sunday night.

wednesday needs to be tomorrow!whenever i want time to pass really quickly, it doesn't. when i want time to go slowly, it flies by. harumph.

yay!

my mummy and daddy are coming home today! i am going to pick them up at LAX this afternoon. yay! they go to china way too much but i can't complain because they are happy. they feel like they're making a difference and that's so important.

today is going slow. i think because i'm looking forward to my parents coming home. mark isn't providing me with any good stories.

i made cupcakes last night. 55 of 'em + a grip of mini ones. my roommate asked me for help because of a work thing she volunteered to bring cupcakes for. the only thing is that when she tried to make cake based on my recipe, it didn't work. the cake turned out more like poundcake. anyway, we made them and they looked so pretty. vanilla cake with chocolate frosting and chocolate sprinkles. the only thing i didn't make were the sprinkles. i ain't that crazy!

when i first heard this song in "how to lose a guy in 10 days" it made me teary eyed. it was just one of those songs whose lyrics and music combined to create this wonderfully beautiful song. every time i saw the movie i kept thinking how i wanted to have that song but i always forgot to look it up. i was talking to kay the other night and she brought it up. she told me the song name and artist and i promptly downloaded it from itunes the next morning.

MD

MD was a lot of fun, very fulfilling, and very heart warming. i never expected this in a million years but i'm incredibly happy that it happened. he is coming out on the 27th so i'm really excited. i thought i'd have to wait until some time in july to see him. yay!

i saw ocean's 13 this weekend. it was cool! ellen barkin looks ridiculously good for her age. the cast was awesome. i especially love how everyone now understands what yen is talking about whereas in the first movie, only rusty understood him. hilarious! oh, and i got to see catch & release. we rented it. i thought it was really cute.

AND THE DUCKS WIN THE 2007 STANLEY CUP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i knew the ducks would win it in 5 so i had to get a ticket and it was worth every single penny! i'm so incredibly ecstatic for my team, especially andy mcdonald, teemu selanne, and rob niedermeyer. they are so awesome and they played so well!!! i love my ducks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
