ok. this is the first and last quarter i will get TWO B's and i only have two classes. TWO CLASSES, TWO B's!!! i know it is my fault. i'm not making any excuses. i didn't study for my finals and that was most certainly reflected on my final test scores. ouch. ouch. ouch.

maya angelou

In April, Maya Angelou was interviewed by Oprah on her 70+ birthday. Oprah asked her what she thought of growing older. And, there on television, she said it was "exciting."

Regarding body changes, she said there were many, occurring every day...like her breasts.They seem to be in a race to see which will reach her waist, first.

loud kids & crushes

the two are not related.

loud kids bother me. i went to subway to get a sub to go and while i was waiting, there was an obnoxious little girl "crying" and whining, "but... the cooooooooooookie. i wannnnaaaaaa coooooooooooooookie." the parents just kept on eating like their little daughter was not spewing all sorts of noise and crumbs. the child was picking her nose when she stopped to take a breath between her crying and whining. if i had even tried to do what she did it would have been over. my parents would have maimed me with just a look.

there's a guy in my class at school i full well admit i have a crush on. we always get to school early and end up chatting which is cool. he's easy to talk to and we have the same sense of humor... sarcastic jabs and quick wit. he has a girlfriend. i suppose having another friend would be ok too.

ok, from the dealio that cicely did, i tagged pia and kay. i was looking at some of their responses for vacations and thought, why the heck didn't i list those? i have no clue. if i were to add everywhere i've actually been when taking a vacation, whether it be a weekend or a week, the list grows!

jobs

i started my 2nd job last night, working for GB. i will be doing the same thing at rg&d that i do at my current job. it's very part time right now. the thing is, they asked if i'd be interested in working there full time in the future. i am interested but how likely is it that i'll leave my current job? it's hard to believe i'll ever find another job as accommodating as this one where everyone is seriously interested in having me succeed.

pros and cons of my current job:

pros:
~health insurance
~dental coverage
~set my own schedule
~a lot of free lunches
~attending cool conferences
~gifts of hotel stays, airline tickets, etc.
~free cell phone & free upgrades
~awesome people in office (irvine)
~great networking
~free pens to use at school (not really but i end up taking them)
~(i know there is more but i can't think of anything right now)

cons:
~incredibly moody boss
~no real control over office
~indifferent, unorganized employees
~being taken for granted
~underpaid

i don't know the pros and cons of the potential full time job because nothing has been discussed in detail and they aren't quite ready to hire someone fulltime.

here's a kicker

apparently, my body, specifically my blood sugar, is not happy with me. my doctor told me i MUST start eating better, meaning sweets on OCCASION --and yes, that means on occasion not whenever i deem something an occasion, complex carbs (the nice healthy ones), and fruits/veggies. he said if i don't, my body is very likely to swap my hypoglycemia for diabetes in the near future. um, ok, yea, i don't want that!!! it's back to the very healthy eating and exercising routine i had in 2002. hahaha... that was a long time ago! oh, and here's the kicker, i have to lose between 5-10 pounds. what the...

where are my favorite ducks going?

ozolinsh, gone? well, ok, that is a bit understandable. i wouldn't want to deal with an athlete who could possibly need drug rehab, again.

But, and that is a huge resounding "BUT," CARNEY???? why, oh, why?? he is such a team player. who's next??? dare i say, my favorite, andy mcdonald? NO! he's scoring too much and his line, which includes selanne, does too well.

seriously? what's with all the trading of cool people? i want rucchin, leclerc, and carney back!

attraction x 2

yesterday, i was in santa monica to get a 2nd opinion about my knee problems. i had emailed the guy whom i'm attracted to the day before my appointment asking if he was free for lunch to which he replied "I made plans for tomorrow with another friend already. If you're in the Westside, just call me and we'll play it by ear." after the appointment, i sat in my rented, 2006, white, Jeep Laredo, having a little conversation with myself. by the way, the jeep is a sweet ride.

it was 12:10 p.m.

should i call him? no, he's probably with his friend
didn't he say to play it by ear? oh, playing it by ear never works out
should i just drive home and miss traffic? what a brilliant idea. i can't meet up with him because i must get back to irvine. i can't miss my class at SEVEN tonight!

attraction

i'm fairly certain i've blogged about this before but i shall rehash the issue until it's beaten to a bloody pulp.

i recently saw a friend and i question if i am even able to call him a friend. i only speak to him when i see him on rare occasion. i've known him for 13 years. wow. ok, he's a friend, just not a close one. the predicament? there isn't one really, unless i want to be melodramatic and this morning, yes, maybe i am feeling a bit ma'arte (sp???) . every time i see this particular man, i am unquestionably attracted to him. conversation flows, it's flirty, easy, and fun. he's the type of person i feel i could tell anything to, and yet i know nothing will transpire from this attraction. i can never say never but i could almost certainly guarantee that nothing will. after 13 years, if nothing has happened, it's highly unlikely that anything ever will. i can stop fantasizing that he will abruptly have a change of heart and declare his undying love. i'm not truly fantasizing... ok... i am... maybe... but, just a little.

I still love Grey's Anatomy

i still love Grey’s Anatomy… even after what meredith did. it’s the kind of show that passes so quickly and then i dread the last 20 minutes because i know that’s all there is left!!!

been rather busy lately. i had a midterm in accounting and then in stats. i did much better in stats than i did in accounting. what's up with that?

oh! i moved... even though it is still within orange county. i moved in with chan and dalisa. i used to live with them the year before kay and i lived together. well, i must say that i’m rather adept at packing. i should be seeing as i've moved at least once a year since i went to college. let's see there was: the dorm, a house in lake forest, an apt. in newport, a townhome in irvine, an apartment in irvine, a house in irvine, an apt. in anaheim, an apt. in tustin, a townhome in huntington beach, and now another house in irvine. what the heck??? that's a lot!! i gotta quit moving!

nothing too new going on. still trying to figure out what my 2nd job is going to be in the summer. gotta save for tuition and my international residential in 2007.

i'm kinda peeved. the one day i was going to cut class was this saturday and for good reason! my boss offered me 2 tickets to a suite at staples for the kings game. THEN my coworker offered me 2 premier season ticket holder seats to the kings game. BUT, i can't go to either one!!! my professor emailed and stated that this class was particularly important and if we did not attend, we would likely be very lost so, of course, i'm not going to miss that! harumph!
