Ichiro got the "Best Defensive Player" honor in MLB.com's 2005 This Year in Baseball Awards. "Seattle finished the season with the fewest errors (86) in the American League and Ichiro was a big reason for that statistic. The Japanese native made two errors in 393 total chances and had 10 assists, the third straight year he reached double digits in that category. As a team, the Mariners logged a .986 fielding percentage, which tied for the Major League lead with the Atlanta Braves, Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim and Oakland A's. The Mariners tied Atlanta with 86 total errors, the fewest in the Majors in 2005. And as for Ichiro, he continued a dazzling career that's only five years strong in the United States. During his 779 games over five seasons with Seattle, Ichiro has made just 11 errors in 1,819 total chances -- all but eight of the chances coming as right fielder. His .994 fielding percentage is the highest among Major League outfielders who have played in more than 650 games. i got sick on saturday, thanks to my niece and brother. i missed a ducks game on sunday because of it. i slept most of saturday, sunday, monday, and half of tuesday. only today and tomorrow to work and then i'm off until the 2nd. yay!!! i'll be in utah for christmas this year with my parents, brother, and niece. after my accident, i wasn't sure if i'd be ok to ski but i am so ...powder, here i come! i haven't been skiing in 2 seasons. it's a travesty i tell ya!i gotta try to find one of two catholic churches in utah for midnight mass. hmm... there's gotta be one somewhere!MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! The demonstration of bipartisanship on the Senate floor over the last few days has been remarkable. The House should now pass the version of the Patriot Act that passed the Senate unanimously earlier this year, so that the President can immediately sign into law a reasonable bill that reauthorizes the Patriot Act while protecting our rights. It is unreasonable and irresponsible for the President and the Republican leadership to insist that this flawed conference report is the only way to reauthorize the Patriot Act.

during one of the
many speeches at kay's graduation ceremony, one point was brought up that i tend to agree with. she said, when you say thank you, be specific about what you're thanking someone for... e.g. thank you for washing my car. then i thought, it should also be the same when you apologize to someone... e.g. "i'm sorry i ignored you."
so, thank you, kay's 4th semester professor, for words of wisdom. i'm sorry i thought your speech was long winded.
finals
i am done with my first quarter of my mba program! only 8 more to go!!! hahaha... sounds like so many.
my face hurts more than it did the night of my accident. same with my neck and my back. oh well, at least those are the only things that are wrong. i thank God for keeping me safe.
accident
car accidents suck. i rear-ended a cadillac on the 73 after the person slowed down really quickly and i didn't slow down fast enough. the chp guy said it was my fault and he said, "you should have stopped." i felt like whacking him because it's not like i didn't try to stop. the other chp guy was really nice.
my poor car must be looked at by the adjuster. it was leaking fluids and the airbags deployed so that destroyed my windshield. all i can think about is how much my insurance is going to go up. i'm very much bummed about the whole thing.
my rental car is a camry and i'm wondering if it's normal that the brakes are soooooo soft. it's like my foot is almost to the floor before it begins to slow down. kinda makes me freaked that i wouldn't be able to stop quickly.
weekend
pretty busy weekend... first went to joe's bday celebration at D&B then headed over to Yardhouse for deejay's bday celebration.
saturday, met with my team, went to class, went to a social that my microecon professor had at his house, then went to the dayz xmas party. that was pretty fun...

overall it was a great weekend!
